First saw them at the Roundhouse in '77. Jet Black handed me his drumsticks at the end. Still got them.

Anyone play the drums on here?

Isn't Golden Brown singing the praises of Heroin?

I'm sure it caused a minor panic on BBC Radio 2 as Wogan plugged it like crazy until the background to the song became public knowledge then no one knew what to do.

I fucking love Golden Brown it's a great song and probably one of their biggest hits.

Although I am not a big fan of The Stranglers and you may be I think that song and video are 80's gold.

Rattus Norvegicus is one of the few albums that, if I hear one track (on my juke box), I have to then play the whole album.

I have seen them several times. Saw them at the Brixton Academy around 1990.

Absolutely brilliant live. One of the best gigs I ever went to.

Re: The Stranglers
The Rattus Norvegicus album made me learn bass guitar. Saved up £60 from my £5 a week paper round and bought a bass guitar from.ABC Music in Addledtone, and spent weeks playing along to the tape on my WOGBOX.
